Eco-Logical Travel

Safaris by Chameleon is committed to responsible, ecological travel whereby we strive to thoroughly understand each destination we visit and minimize our impact on it. To do this we employ local staff who guide our guests and share with travellers their appreciation for the natural and cultural beauties of East and Southern Africa. Our selected accommodations, mostly small scaled, carry out sustainable practices and provide travellers with information on responsible behaviour and sustainability issues at their destinations. We always look to reduce the impact of travel on the biodiversity within those protected areas we visit. Lastly, we encourage the reduction of single-use plastic waste by offering glass bottled water during transfers and refillable water bottles during safari. Our excursions and activities during the tours are selected such to promote positive environmental, economic and social impacts.

What our Clients say

Karen

I am thrilled with all my photos and put the best ones into photo books. I now enjoy showing these to my friends who are all envious of the fantastic holiday I had! Thank you for being such an excellent guide. Of all the wonderful scenery, birds, mammals and plants I saw, the shots of the African sunset still bring a tear of joy to my eyes. I never expected to get that! I think the whole holiday exceeded my expectations even the amazing thunderstorms that we experienced. I hope to return again one day!

Kate & Richard

We are back home in a rather damp dark England and wishing we were back in Kenyan sunshine. We just want to say a big "Thank you" to you and your team for such a marvelous trip. Everything was perfect from the moment Kenneth picked us up until we said "goodbye to Peter at the airport. The arrangements you made, the camps, the weather, and the animals we saw could not have been bettered. Thank you very much for all the trouble you took for us. We really hope it will not be our last visit!

Millie

We had THE most wonderful holiday. Thank you, to you, and your team for all your organizing. Thank you for the goodie bag on arrival. It was lovely for us both not to have to think about a thing - and to have everything taken care of so expertly. All in all a dream holiday.......and we saw Cheetah and her cubs and leopard!! Thank you again. Hopefully it won't be too long before we can come again.

Hilly

We have had the most wonderful holiday, a trip of a life time and one that will be difficult to reproduce, thank you so much for organizing this.

Sue Miller

I am writing to thank you for the best holiday I have ever had. I have thoroughly enjoyed every trip taken with your company and have experienced the most fabulous activities on each tour but my recent visit to Kenya on the Classic Kenya Safari was without doubt the most amazing time of my life. I celebrated my 60th birthday whilst in Kenya and was completely spoilt by all of my Kenyan friends. Little did I know that when I went on my first safari in 2009 that it would become so much a way of life. I have made a promise to visit Africa at least once a year. Thank you for so many magical memories.
