Kato Kenya Bonded
The Kenya Association of Tour Operators (KATO) is Kenya’s foremost tourism trade association. As members all money paid in the form of deposits or full payments to individual tour operators are secured in the event of any financial defaults.
Safaris by Chameleon is committed to responsible, ecological travel whereby we strive to thoroughly understand each destination we visit and minimize our impact on it. To do this we employ local staff who guide our guests and share with travellers their appreciation for the natural and cultural beauties of East and Southern Africa. Our selected accommodations, mostly small scaled, carry out sustainable practices and provide travellers with information on responsible behaviour and sustainability issues at their destinations. We always look to reduce the impact of travel on the biodiversity within those protected areas we visit. Lastly, we encourage the reduction of single-use plastic waste by offering glass bottled water during transfers and refillable water bottles during safari. Our excursions and activities during the tours are selected such to promote positive environmental, economic and social impacts.
What our Clients say
OUTRIGHT AFRICA TRAVEL EXPERTISE
the chameleon team
Our experienced team is well-traveled and most of all enthusiastic about sharing their specific interest and passion for Africa with you. Please get to know them a little better below:
Nathalie, born in Belgium yet bred in Africa, purely operates on solar energy and hence could not imagine life without Africa! She especially loves the sharp contrasts for which the African sky line is famous.
After more than 20 years on the continent, Greg knows an awful lot about this place, it’s people and it’s wildlife! Doing VAT returns is not really his favorite thing but getting ‘out there’ and sharing this beauty with others is what makes it all worthwhile.
Benson, freshly graduated from Kenya Utalii Tourism College, joined the Chameleon team recently after a successful stint as ‘travel & tourism’ intern. Though new-ish to the industry, he is settling in well and working hard to pick up all the ropes of the trade.
Peter was born in Nanyuki, from a family of five boys where he joined DIMA College to study Tour Guiding. Peter joined the tourism business as tour driver guide in 2002 and joined us in 2009 as Airport transfer guide.
Julius lives to travel! Hence organizing your safari plans is just second nature to him. Julius feels very fortunate to call Kenya ‘home’ and loves to share his part of the world with others!
Henry has no formal background in tourism as such but has been a trusted force at Home & Office. Keen for new opportunities and challenges Henry joined us in the office in 2018 as an Airport representative.
Lisa Joy Ndege
Lisa joined the team in 2019 as the in-charge-of-communication & social media. Relatively new to the tourism industry, she fits in very well; mixing her keenness for adventure and love for digital content creation.
Robison loves to travel during his free time and is passionate about nature. An accountant by profession, he joined the tourism and travel industry sometime in 2019 when he joined the Chameleon team.
